What RankedStores collects about visitors and about the stores it lists, and how to reach us
Who we are
RankedStores (rankedstores.com) is a directory of Shopify stores and a free tool that shows which Shopify theme and apps a store uses. Questions about this policy: support@rankedstores.com.
Visitors to this site
- No analytics or advertising trackers. We don't run Google Analytics, ad pixels or similar scripts.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes request data such as IP address, browser user agent and the page requested, to serve the site and protect it from abuse (rate limits, bot filtering). We don't build profiles of visitors.
- The store checker. When you check a store, we fetch that store's public homepage and keep the result for up to a day so repeat checks are fast. We don't link checks to you. If the store is a Shopify store we don't list yet, its address is added to our directory queue.
- Accounts. If you create an account, we store your name, email address and sign-in details to run it. You can delete your account in Settings.
Stores in the directory
The directory describes businesses, not private individuals. It is built from information stores publish openly: their public storefront pages, Shopify's public store information, public social profiles and ads libraries, and third-party traffic estimates. Store pages show business facts such as name, website, country, category, catalog size, theme, apps and estimated traffic.
Store owners can ask us to correct or remove their store's page by writing to support@rankedstores.com from an address on the store's domain.
Sharing
We don't sell personal information. We use service providers to run the site (Cloudflare for hosting and security, our database host for storage), who process data on our behalf.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to its use. Write to support@rankedstores.com and we'll answer within 30 days.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and change the date above.
